You and your spouse or common-law partner can share the Ontario seniors' home safety tax credit but the amount that can be claimed cannot be more than the amount that would be allowed if only one of you were claiming this credit. For exceptions, see the Ontario Information Guide. |

You can claim this credit as long as another person has not already claimed the same eligible expenses. | ||||||||||||||||
If you share a principal residence with a group of people, the maximum amount of eligible expenses for that residence that can be claimed by the group is the lesser of $10,000 and the amount of eligible expenses that the group paid or incurred. |
